In an act of cruelty Executive order pauses all federal grants and loans

Here we go again, we are back in the throes of chaos, fear, uncertainty, dishonesty. The Trump administration has wasted no time enacting policies that, from every angle analyzed, have zero benefit for the average citizen of this country. In fact, the very idea of citizenship is being questioned down to the core of ratified constitutional amendments.
This all sounds very bad, but dear reader you need to know that these were the most easily digestible soundbites of news that have come out this week compared to what happened next.

What the administration has just done should strike fear in all Americans with maybe the exception of the ultra wealthy class. an order was put in to freeze trillions of dollars in federal grants and loans. They want to eliminate all spending on programs that they do not personally agree with. trump is blocking funds to anything he thinks is “woke “which doesn’t actually mean anything other than it’s not about something He personally agrees with and he will hold everybody else accountable until he gets it exactly the way his highest bidders want it.

The federal government is now withholding Medicaid. It is withholding science funding. It is withholding funds for early childhood education. This will affect people with jobs in those areas, and obviously this would hurt those who rely on those funds for their health and wellness. We as a country voted the members of congress in to do what is best, to represent, our best interests. They did so by funding these programs and these programs were funded with bipartisan agreement. this order is in direct opposition with what congress wants and already agreed to do.

I don’t want this blog to turn into a political soapbox, I absolutely cannot stand it when politics have become a person’s entire identity. When politics has become your pastime, when politics has become your conversational language, when politics has gone beyond service to you and your fellow countryman, and has instead become entertainment, we’ve lost the goal of the federal government; they serve us, not the other way around.

I fear for the safety of everybody in this country. Taking away access like that, especially access that allows people to live a meaningful life, will result in violence. I don’t say that lightly, in fact, I did not want to write that, but I knew that I would be doing us a disservice and I would be doing myself a disservice if I didn’t say exactly what I think is going to happen if these blatantly hurtful policies do not get reversed. The country is going to spiral into chaos and violence.

I’m so sick of this shit

CNN’s Jennifer Hansler reports, “This is not a blanket pause on federal assistance and grant programs from the Trump administration,” Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said in her first White House briefing.
Leavitt said the pause was directed more at Democratic priorities rather than making across-the-board cuts, and she said all agencies could make a case to the administration to keep their funding.
“If they feel that programs are necessary and in line with the president’s agenda, then the Office of Management and Budget will review those policies,” said Leavitt.
Leavitt declined to directly answer questions Tuesday about whether Medicaid funding would be affected by the order.

If this is about making a point to get rid of all democratic priorities, the compassionate thing to do would be to issue a 90 day order that all federal assistance programs must meet certain criteria and must comply before this time. By killing all funding at once and making people beg to have funding that is necessary is cruel, and I don’t know another way to put it.

It seems cruelty is the purpose.
